Ahmed Alghraibeh has a Ph.D. in Education Psychology and was promoted to full professor in 2019 receiving the praise of the board for the excellent quality of the work he submitted in support of his academic promotion. In 2016, he was presented with the distinguished research award from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include brain theory, memory, learning, bilingualism, and brain-based learning especially multiple intelligences, preferred hand, and use of technology. Moreover, he has collaborated with a number of prominent American scientists in dealing with research issues pertaining to such varied areas as technology and human behavior (e.g. the impact of mobile phone use, anxiety, and depression), substance use, memory, trauma, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and self-destructive behavior.
Prof. Alghraibeh has published more than 40 articles in highly reputable peer-reviewed journals on a wide range of academic topics. He has also received more than 13 research grants four of which for translating such titles as Evidence for Beyond Memory and Memory, the Teaching of Thinking, and Application of Psychology to Educational Field, and three for sponsored BA research projects.
Prof. Alghraibeh is a member of three international research groups including one in the USA, where he represents the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, another in Brazil which includes researchers from 15 different countries, and the third is in Russia which includes researchers from 20 countries. He is also the chair of a research group sponsored by the Deanship for Scientific Research, King Saud University (KSU), Saudi Arabia. In addition, as part his efforts to promote academic research at King Saud University where he works, he has succeeded in establishing research collaboration with such noted scholars as Jon Elhai and David M. Buss, and visited the USA to establish further research cooperation between KSU and other prominent researchers.
He taught several courses at the bachelor, master’s, and doctoral levels in such subjects as psychology, research methods, evaluation, neuropsychology, and physiological psychology. He also taught the following bachelor level courses in English: human body and mind, medical education, introduction to psychology, educational psychology. He supervises a number of postgraduate students.
Prof. Alghraibeh has contributed to quality and national accreditation, as he designed a performance task for the educational psychology course, and a digital the educational psychology course. He has also developed several PhD and MA programs in educational psychology, as well as various teaching strategies
