Muath holds a PhD at the University of Liverpool, affiliated with the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science and a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Science from University College London (UCL).

His academic and research interests focus on cardiovascular health, acute stroke and emergency medical sciences.
