CLS 331 Clinical Biochemistry II

Course code: 331

Course name : Clinical Biochemistry II

Credit hours: 3 theory +1 practical =4

Level: 5

Course Objective:

To equip students with a broad understanding of the chemical and molecular events involved in biological processes. The Biochemistry provides a foundation for careers in medicine, biotechnology, or research in all branches of the biological sciences.

Courses Description:

Course work involves a study of the metabolic activity of animal tissue and its regulation. Major catabolic pathways related to carbohydrate, amino acid, and fatty acids are discussed in detail. The study includes a look at the bio-energetic of cells as well as the digestion and absorption of food material.
