Towards full benefits of ICT in healthcare

Abstract

The application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into healthcare is not up to the level it should be. Nowadays, there is a revolution towards applying ICT and benefitting of the advent of technologies in healthcare at industry and research levels. This talk will mainly focus on 3 mains areas: Emergency system, Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration and Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS). E-prescribing, e-referral and other systems will be discussed as well. We will present our experience and the progress in this field in Australia as well as in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region.
