Dr. Ohoud Alharbi was a speaker at the Google Cloud Summit, held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. Her talk focused on the major transformation taking place in universities as demand for artificial intelligence technologies continues to grow across the government and private sectors.

It is becoming essential to move beyond teaching AI as a predictive tool and toward teaching the development of agentic AI systems that can reason, plan, and make decisions within responsible boundaries.
She also highlighted the role of strategic partnerships, particularly the collaboration with Google Cloud, which has provided students with access to advanced tools such as Gemini, as well as high-impact visits from industry leaders that support the development of future innovators in AI.
She also addressed the key ethical and technical challenges in building responsible AI systems. These include data quality and integrity, reducing bias and ensuring system auditability, protecting privacy, clarifying accountability, maintaining AI models, and establishing governance frameworks that preserve human oversight.
