Prof. Nasser Al-Daghri is a highly acclaimed scientist in the field of biomedical sciences, recognized both regionally and internationally for his groundbreaking work. Since 2020, he has been ranked among Stanford University’s top 2% of scientists globally. With over 600 published scientific papers and abstracts, and more than 21,000 citations, Prof. Al-Daghri has earned significant recognition for his contributions to clinical biochemistry, metabolism, and vitamin D research.
As of 2024, he holds the distinction of being the world’s most prolific and influential researcher in the areas of vitamin D and obesity. Prof. Al-Daghri has been a full-time Professor of Biochemistry at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since 2012. His leadership extends to his former role as Dean of the College of Science at King Saud University (2015-2020), as well as Director of the Chair for Biomarkers of Chronic Diseases.
Additionally, he serves as a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK, and is a member of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Aspects of Musculoskeletal Health and Aging. Prof. Al-Daghri is also an active participant in the WHO Expert Working Group on Bone Health. His vast expertise and influential work continue to shape the future of biomedical research on a global scale.
