Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar is an internationally recognized materials scientist and researcher with over two decades of experience in advanced functional materials, energy storage technologies, nanomaterials, biosensors, and surface engineering. He currently serves at the Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials (CEREM), King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Dar earned his Ph.D. from Chonbuk National University in South Korea and has held research and academic positions in South Korea, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on the design and development of next-generation materials for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, electrochemical sensors, graphene-based nanocomposites, protective coatings, and biomedical applications.

With more than 90 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, several funded research projects, a granted patent, and extensive editorial and reviewing activities, Dr. Dar has made significant contributions to materials science and nanotechnology. His work bridges fundamental research and practical innovation, supporting sustainable energy, environmental monitoring, and advanced healthcare technologies.
