Abstract:
This study about the aberration in the human eye specially the higher order aberration and we compare and get the repeatability of ocular high order aberrations (HOAs) in myopes , emmetropes and post-LAISK subjects.
One hundred and two eyes of 51 subjects all of whom were either students or staff of King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia were used in this study. Informed consent of the subject was received after verbal instructions of the procedure. Mean patient age was 23 years (ranging from 20 to 36 years) - I require a mean and a standard deviation for the age of the subjects. This study included only emmetropic (+0.50DS to -0.25DS), myopic and post-LASIK eyes. All subjects underwent manifest refraction, corneal topography and wavefront analysis using the Nidek OPD scan wavefront aberrometer.
We find that the HOA for the LASIK group was higher than both the myopic and emmetropic groups.
Keywords: higher-order aberration (HOA's) and Nidek OPD scan.
The primary objective of this paper is to observe the effectiveness of Wavefront-guided LASIK in correcting higher order aberrations (HOA) in the eye in comparison to other methods. This…
