Dr. Jahangeer Ahmed pursued his higher education in Chemistry, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India, in 2003. He was subsequently awarded a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India, in 2011, following the submission of his doctoral thesis in 2010.

He later moved to the United States, where he joined the Department of Chemistry at Michigan State University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, a position he held until April 2013. He continued his postdoctoral work at the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley, serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry from April 2013 to July 2014.

In 2016, Dr. Ahmed joined the Department of Chemistry, College of Sciences, at King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an Assistant Professor. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the same institution.

Dr. Ahmed has been consistently recognized for his contributions to scientific research and scholarship. He has been listed among the Top 2% Scientists in the World by Stanford University for five consecutive years — 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 — a testament to his impactful research and academic excellence.
