Distance learning problems in art education during the era of digital transformation
This study aimed to identify the problems of distance learning in art education in the era of digital transformation in the point of view of art students. Methods: To achieve this, a descriptive survey method was used. A questionnaire was prepared as a tool for data collection which was distributed to all students enrolled in an art education department in Saudi Arabia. The study sample, which numbered (87) students, who were chosen by the convenient sample method. Results: The results showed agreement among the members of the study sample that there are problems of distance learning in art education in the era of digital transformation. Conclusion: The study reached several recommendations, most notably the need to plan a new teaching process for distance learning in art education curricula by specialists in the field of art education to keep pace with scientific progress. IN addition, there is a need to prepare an electronic learning environment (virtual environment) suitable to successfully teach the theoretical and practical aspects art education remotely. We also recommend working on developing the computer skills for both teachers and students that are needed for distance art education in order assure the comprehension of the concepts of art education.
