I am a university professor and consulting expert who believes that statistics is far more than numbers, it is the language of truth through which decisions are built and achievements are measured. Over more than three decades, I have bridged rigorous academic research and hands-on fieldwork across major national institutions, from King Saud University to the Saudi Commission for Tourism, until the data I oversaw placed the Kingdom at the forefront of international rankings.
I offer specialized professional services in statistical studies, quality assurance and institutional auditing, strategic planning, and team development, for every organization that strives for excellence and deserves to reach it.
I am here to serve as a bridge between knowledge and practice; between universities, leadership, and decision-makers, toward genuine institutional transformation and lasting positive change.
areas of expertise
Over more than three decades, my career has never been merely an accumulation of titles and credentials. It has been a sustained journey of translating scientific knowledge into real institutional impact, in lecture halls, in decision-making rooms, and on the map of international competitiveness.
Statistics: A Tool for Decision-Making
My core specialization is applied statistics, a field in which I have published over forty peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals, covering data modeling, statistical distributions, Bayesian methods, and time series analysis. What sets this expertise apart is that it never remained confined to research papers, it moved into the field and proved that precise statistical work is the shortest path to the right decision.
The clearest example came when I took over as Director General of the Tourism Information and Research Center (MAS) at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage between 2016 and 2019. I rebuilt the data infrastructure from the ground up, and the result was that Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the comprehensiveness of travel and tourism data, according to the Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum in 2017, and fourth in 2019. This effort was crowned by MAS obtaining the ISO 20252 certification in research and studies, a distinction rarely held by centers of this kind at the national level.
Quality and Institutional Excellence: From Culture to System
In my view, quality is not a bureaucratic procedure, it is a thinking framework that runs through the veins of an institution. I have spent years building and embedding that framework.
When I assumed the deanship of Development and Quality at King Saud University in 2015, I merged two independent deanships into one cohesive entity, activated the institutional Quality Management System (KSU-QMS), and qualified 42 academic assessors from the faculty to serve as its operational backbone. In the same period, I established the university's Risk Management Department and Alumni Center, laying solid foundations for more mature institutional governance.
This experience extended beyond the university walls. I provided quality and academic accreditation consulting to a number of Saudi universities, including King Abdulaziz University, Umm Al-Qura University, Majmaah University, Shaqra University, and Prince Sultan University.
Strategic Planning and Institution Building
Any organization that deserves to succeed needs a clear strategy, reliable data, and people who understand both. That is precisely what I offer.
At King Fahd Medical City, I contributed to establishing the institutional information center along with an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Business Intelligence services, enabling health decisions grounded in real-time, accurate data. At the General Authority for Statistics (formerly the Central Department of Statistics), I participated in designing the Population and Housing Census questionnaire and training its field staff.
Artificial Intelligence: The Coming Horizon
It is not enough to be an expert in what was, you must be ready for what will be. That is why I completed the intensive IBM AI Skills Accelerator program (10 weeks, 6 microcredentials) covering Generative AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and AI Ethics. Today I am actively integrating these tools into institutional consulting and academic research, driven by the conviction that intelligent data is the real fuel powering Saudi Vision 2030.
In Closing
What I offer is not merely a consultancy, it is a knowledge partnership built on decades of real work at the heart of national institutions. From statistics to quality, and from strategic planning to artificial intelligence, I pursue one constant goal: turning knowledge into value, data into decisions, and institutions into models of excellence.
