Dear everyone: The sheet containing notes on the translation of some of the terms discussed in the course packet is uploaded. Make sure you use it as a study tool to prepare for the exam. Please let me know if you have any questions :)

The rubric for the Dictionary project presentation is below. If you have not signed up yet, please do so as soon as possible. You need at least a group of 7. Check my office hours for a time that works for you and let me know. Best wishes!

Dear Students: This is to emphasize that the project is due electronically by Saturday, 11:59 p.m. A print copy and a CD containing the project is due in my mailbox by 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17. Kindly read the checklist and the guidelines below. When submitting the project. have the title of your email as "Name in Arabic, Project Topic." This also should be the name of your file.

Note: the guidelines for the course research project is below. Remember that the date for submitting the project is the first Saturday when we come back from Spring Break. The deadline is Saturday at 11:59/12:00 A.M. via email. Please email it to the following email: Islamictranslation11@gmail.com. You can turn in your project early. Please note that for every day late (12:01 a.m. to the next 12:01) will cost your project one point out of 30. Thus, if you are late five minutes or five hours, it will be 1 point. If you are late three days, it will 3 pts (from the total 30 pts.) More details below.

 

Also, those who have Hadith as their source of words, you may check the following website for "Translation of Sahih Bukhari." That can be one of your three sources for Translation:

Remember, you need three dictionaries (at least), and three translated work (at least). Most of you will use more, and this is fine as long as you reference them.
