This research studies the role of the United Nations in international relations based on realism and liberalism
theories. Realismshows that the United Nations was created and works to support the great states to obtain more
powers. For instance, the veto wright gave these states more power than other states. Furthermore, the United
Nations decreases the cost of battles because of sharing the cost with other states in the United Nations. On the
other hand, liberalism looks to the United Nations as a tool to make peace in the world by the incentive of an
open communication between states.
