Dietary Supplementation of Dormival and Lemon Oil to Improve Growth, Immune Functions, and Health Status of Nile Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, Juveniles Cultured Under High Density

Intensive aquaculture of ten exposes fish to crowding stress, impairinggrowthperformance andoverallphysiologicalstability.This
studyevaluatedtheeffectsofdietaryDormival(D)andlemonoil(LO)supplementationonthegrowthperformance,antioxidant
status,andimmuneresponseofNiletilapia(Oreochromisniloticus) juvenilesrearedunderhigh-densityconditionsfor42days.Sixdiets
weretested,includingcontrol,0.5% LO,0.2%–0.4% D,andtheircombinations.FishreceivingD,eitheraloneorwithLO,showed
significantlyhigherweightgain(WG),specific growthrate(SGR),andfeedefficiency(p <0:05)comparedwiththecontrol.Moderate
D inclusion(0.2%–0.4%) enhancedsurvival,antioxidantdefense(superoxidedismutase[SOD],glutathione[GSH],totalantioxidant
capacity[TAC]),andimmuneactivity(lysozyme,immunoglobulinM[IgM]).However,excessivesupplementation(0.4%D+0.5%LO)
increasedaspartateaminotransferase(AST)andmalondialdehyde(MDA),suggestingmildmetabolicstress.Proximatecomposition
indicatedhigherlipidandashwithelevatedDlevels.Overall,0.2% D, aloneorcombinedwith0.5% LO,effectivelymitigatedcrowding
stressandpromotedsuperiorgrowthandphysiologicalresilienceinNiletilapia.
