Biomechanics of Sports Techniques
Its well-known author is James Hee, who presented many well-known and circulating works in the scientific and mathematical fields alike. Despite the advanced language of the book, it is useful for undergraduate and graduate student, coach, and even school teacher. The book is more than 530 pages, distributed into seventeen chapters. The book begins with a theoretical framework, where the most important mechanical concepts related to sports activity, especially methods of sports performance in general, were reviewed. Seven chapters are devoted to this part in which they dealt with kinematics of movement to fluid dynamics, in as simplified language as possible. The rest of the chapters are devoted to reviewing the applications of mechanical concepts to the most important well-known and world-famous sports such as basketball, gymnastics, swimming, track and field games, and locally in the author's country, the United States of America, such as American football, baseball and softball. Although the book contains many arithmetic equations that require prior knowledge of mathematics and the principles of physics, the reader can benefit from the book directly, especially with regard to the applied part to sports. The book combines qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, which are in fact of great importance in the study of sports, and this book is a reference in that. The book's inclusion of a qualitative analysis method, which is closer to the understanding of trainers and teachers in particular, adds to the book's great importance. As evidence of this, there are many books and other literature that make use of the figures and explanations included in the book; Which makes it a reference for many interested in the field of biomechanics in sports
