PPS 512 – Handling and Storage of Horticultural Crops (Advanced)
PPS 512 – This course focuses on the physiological changes associated with the stages of growth completion, ripening, and senescence during the handling and storage of major horticultural crops. It covers postharvest biology, quality factors, handling practices, preparation of horticultural produce for marketing and storage, cooling processes, and packaging materials used. The course also addresses postharvest physiological and pathological disorders and strategies to minimize them in order to maintain product quality and reduce losses.
