The low cost and eco-benign room temperature ionic liquid, acetylcholine iodide-ethylene glycol (ACI/EG) accelerates the
formation of the desired regioselective mono-/di isoxazolidine analogues and reduced the reaction time with high level of chemical yield. Furthermore, the recyclability of ACI/EG has also been investigated.
