Mohammed Almannaa is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at King Saud University, specializing in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Systems. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from King Saud University (2012), and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Transportation Engineering) from Virginia Tech (2016, 2019). Alongside his academic role, he serves as a part-time consultant with private and government organizations, including the Traffic Engineering Department at Alriyadh Municipality, the National Road Safety Center, and the Deanship of Admission and Registration Affairs at King Saud University. His experience has contributed to projects funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation. He's also been recognized with several awards, including First Place in the UAS4T competition at the 2020 IEEE ITSC and the Lifesavers Traffic Safety Scholar title in 2019. Dr. Almannaa is a member of several scientific committees, one of which is the Traffic Safety and Transportation Committee at King Saud University. His research interests include but are not limited to intelligent transportation systems, micro-mobility modes, traffic safety, and the application of machine learning and AI in transportation.
