TOPIC OF THE SPECIAL SESSION

This special session aims to solicit high quality contribution and offer a publish venue for potential research and recently emerging applications on various aspects of emerging research and technologies of security of biometrics data in health care solutions and related issues.

Biometrics based Medical Healthcare (BMH) Applications integrate multiple technologies to create efficient patients monitoring, diagnosis and therapy paramedical systems. These technologies ensure providing medical diagnostic data through Internet-based cloud applications through watching brain signals, heartbeat and body temperature data, ….etc. This thematic session aims at covering security of the patients’ biometric data for access and control in healthcare monitoring applications for patients with diseases like heart diseases, pregnancy and diabetes. Biometric data security assures electronic health records and personal health  records privacy over the rapidly evolving biometrics technologies to access internet based digitally recorded medical images and data. Biometric data also is used for

accessing patients’ archived medical images by paramedical teams in trauma cases, accidents, undesired medical conditions for patients to speed up the first aid and
