CREATIVE ECOSYSTEM GOVERNANCE: THE SAUDI EXPERIENCE
ABSTRACT:
The creative economy has swiftly expanded in recent decades, defined by
Industry 4.0. Saudi Vision 2030 has created a cultural and creative environment by
restructuring governmental institutions, realigning objectives, and enhancing publicprivate collaborations. Furthermore, it enhanced the supply side via entertainment,
positioning the cultural and creative industries (CCI) as emerging sectors that
currently generate 15 billion USD annually, with a GDP growth rate of 13% per
annum. This qualitative policy research discusses governance in the creative sector by
analyzing interconnections, evaluating potentialities, and identifying shortcomings.
To maximize benefits, it is recommended to form a higher council of creativity to
supervise, coordinate, and monitor public policies and activities at a macro level.
