My research focuses on the design and development of nanotechnology products that can increase solubility, modify the pharmacokinetic/biodistribution pattern, reduce toxicity and increase the efficacy of different therapeutic agents. My current research activities focuses on the following: 1- Development of polymeric nano-carriers for the targeted delivery of anticancer drugs. 2- Development of polymer based nano-carriers for the tumor targeted delivery of modulators of drug resistant (such as P-glycoprotein inhibitors), which are used to inhibit the function of oncoproteins responsible for chemoresistance.
3- Development of drug-loaded polymeric nano-carriers for oral and ocular administration.
