DENTAL ANATOMY AND MORPHOLOGY
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to provide the student with the basic elements of dental anatomy & morphology as an essential pre-requisite for other dental courses. Terms in dental morphology and anatomy are emphasized, the numbering of teeth according to different systems is introduced and students will be able to distinguish morphological characteristics of the different set, arch, and traits of dentition. In addition, students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in manual skills by carving in wax the different missing surfaces of all teeth to their normal anatomical and morphological features.
