Course Description:

Biomechanics. Forces affects on our bodies. Vector analysis.  Levers and equilibrium of rigid bodies. Stress ‐ Strain curve.  Young's and Shear modulus for materials and biological tissues.Properties of fluids. Viscosity and surface tension. Bernoulli'sequation and its applications.  Effect of gravity and accelerationon the blood pressure. Nature of sound and sound intensity level.Ultrasound, production and its applications in diagnostic andtreatment.  Nervous System and electricity within the body.Equilibrium potential and Nernst equation. Factors affecting thepropagation of action potential. Action potential measurements  of some organs; ECG, EEG and ERG.  Non‐ionizing Radiation.  Physical and biological effects. 

وصف المقرر :

الميكانيكا الحيوية- القوى المؤثرة على أجسامنا- تحليل المتجهات- الروافع وأتزان الأجسام – منحنى الأجهاد والأنفعال- معامل يونج و القص للمواد والأنسجة البيولوجية- خواص الموائع- اللزوجة والتوتر السطحي- معادلة بيرنولي ‐ تطبيقات معادلة بيرنولي على حركة الموائع- تأثير الجاذبية والتسارع على ضغط الدم- طبيعة الصوت ومستوى الشدة الصوتية – الموجات فوق السمعية وكيفية إنتاجها- تطبيق الموجات فوق السمعية في التشخيص والعلاج- النظام العصبي وسريان الكهرباء خلال الجسم- جهد الأتزان للخلايا ومعادلة نيرنست – الجهد النشط للخلايا والعوامل التي تؤثر على إنتقاله- قياس الجهد الكهربي لبعض أعضاء الجسم - رسم القلب الكهربي – رسم المخ الكهربي – رسم الشبكية الكهربي- الأشعاع غير المؤين- مصادره الطبيعية والصناعية- تأثيراته الفيزيائية والبيولوجية.

The course aims to give the student the basis of   biophysics.
