introduction/brief CV

An internationally recognised Professor with over 17 years of academic and research experience at King Saud University, Riyadh. Ph.D.-qualified from the prestigious Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, with an outstanding record of more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in Q1/Q2 journals, an h-index of 41, and an i10-index of 119. Ranked among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University and an active Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Collaborator with IHME, University of Washington, contributing to landmark publications in The Lancet. Expert in protein–drug interaction biophysics, analytical method development, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics, and clinical trial management. Accomplished research mentor, editorial board member for three ISI-indexed journals, and reviewer for over 200 manuscripts across leading international publishers.

areas of expertise

  • Mechanistic studies of protein–drug interactions using biophysical experiments (fluorescence, UV-Vis, CD, ITC), molecular docking, and bioinformatics.
  • Development and validation of analytical methods (UPLC-MS/MS, HPLC, immunosensors) for drug quantification in biological matrices to support pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiling.
  • Bioavailability and bioequivalence research: design, conduct, and regulatory management of Phase I clinical trials.
  • Global health metrics and epidemiology as an active GBD 2023 Collaborator (IHME, University of Washington) — analysis of disease burden, mortality patterns, and risk factors across global and subnational populations.
  • Computational approaches including molecular dynamics simulation, DFT calculations, ADMET profiling, and virtual screening for drug discovery.
  • Cancer pharmacology: in vitro and in silico anticancer evaluation of novel synthetic and natural compounds.
