Taher Al-Shehari is a Computer Science Lecturer and Researcher with over ten years of academic, research, and professional experience in higher education and applied research. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Honors) from King Khalid University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems (Excellent) from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He is currently affiliated with King Saud University, where he contributes to teaching, curriculum development, and scientific research.
His research interests include cybersecurity, insider threat detection, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and intelligent systems. He has published extensively in high-impact, indexed journals (Q1/Q2), including IEEE Access, Scientific Reports, Expert Systems, and Entropy, and has received the Best Paper Award at an international symposium on intelligent computing. His work focuses on anomaly detection, imbalanced learning, and data-driven security solutions.
T. Al-Shehari actively serves as an invited reviewer for numerous prestigious journals published by IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer, and is a member of funded research groups supported by the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University. In addition to his research contributions, he possesses strong expertise in interactive teaching, data analysis, and academic project management, with a commitment to advancing innovative teaching and research practices that align with institutional and societal goals.
