General Information
Description
This course provides knowledge, skills and abilities to improve the security and robustness of operating systems. students will introduce to protect computer operating systems by implementing OS security systems, identify security threats, vulnerabilities, and monitor network security implementations. Use best practices to configure operating systems to industry security standards.
Course Objectives
By completing this KU, students should be able to: 
Knowledge and understanding
Perform secure OS installation and disable unneeded components, services and ports.
Demonstrate hardening steps for a given OS according to given applications. 
Perform OS patching and updating periodically. 
Skills
1. Implement security plan and monitor solutions.
2. Analyze the essential mechanizes, and protocols of applied operating system and network security.
