BCH 606 (Advances in Genomics and Bioinformatics)

In this course, PhD students will learn recent aspects on applied bioinformatics to be used for molecular genetics, metagenomics, phylogenetics, multiple alignments, NGS data analysis, SNP databases, etc. Hands-on practice and tutorials are covered; hence,. the students are encouraged to bring their personal laptops during each session. Previous knowledge in genomics is desirable.At the end of course, students will be trained in the latest tools and softwares used in genomics and bioinformatics
