Biomedical Imaging Equipment – BMT 334

This course is an introduction to biomedical imaging systems. The course will expose the student to the world of biomedical imaging with an emphasis on the principles, approaches, and applications of each imaging modality. Topics include; introduction to medical imaging, projection radiography, computed tomography (CT), planar scintigraphy, Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and Ultrasound imaging.
