NUR 501: Theoretical Foundations in Nursing

Course Description: The course will guide the graduate student in the understanding and application of the various theories in the field of practice, education, and research. Also included is the study of the major elements of the theory construction and development. Criteria for analyzing and evaluating theories is emphasizes and applied to the examination of selected theories in nursing The critique will be discussed in term of the relationship between theory development and the nursing practice trends in using education and nursing research.
