Differential Equations (MATH506)
It is taught to Masters' students of Engineering college. The topics include review of first and second order odes and their applications in modeling, series solutions of linear second order odes, Bessel's equations, Sturm-Liouville problem, analytical solution techniques for pdes like D'Alembert's method, method of characteristics, and separtion of variable method, numerical solution of odes using Euler's modified Euler's and RK4 methods, numerical solution of hyperbolic, parabolic and elliptic pdes using finite difference method, and finite elements method.
