EMBA523 Valuation, Mergers & Acquisitions

This course covers valuation methods, traditional mergers and acquisitions topics and transactions, hostile takeovers and friendly acquisitions - strategic and financial aspects of reverse mergers & takeover, types of mergers, the role of corporate raiders in disciplinary takeovers, creating value through corporate restructuring, private equity and leveraged buyouts (LBOs), managing mergers and acquisitions risk: collars, earn-outs, and contingent value rights, and develop and provide analysis for divestitures.
