The course provides an introduction to the procedural programming paradigm, a brief history of C, and the C program structure. Also, it covers primitive data types, variables, constants, basic operators and their priorities (arithmetic operators, logical operators and access operators), Boolean expressions, control structures, user-defined data types, and data structures in C programming language. It discusses the usefulness of make files, the pre-processor directives and their use in a C program.
