introduction/brief CV

I'm an occupational therapist and lecturer at King Saud University specialising in fatigue management in neurodegenerative conditions, with a particular focus on Parkinson’s disease.

I recently completed my PhD at the University of East Anglia (UK), where I led a programme of research including a systematic review and meta-analysis, and a pilot randomised controlled trial evaluating the ReFresh online fatigue management intervention.

My work focuses on developing and evaluating scalable, evidence-based self-management interventions, integrating behavioural approaches and patient and public involvement (PPI) to improve real-world outcomes. I am particularly interested in digital rehabilitation, hybrid models of care, and translating research into clinical practice and health systems in Saudi Arabia.

The ReFresh programme is also available as an open-access digital resource, including a public webpage and educational video.
