BCH 496: Field Training in Biochemistry
This course is a professionally oriented course designed to train students in the fundamental concepts and stages of scientific research, including preparation, implementation, and research ethics. The course also introduces students to responsible scientific conduct and professional work practices
A central component of the course is hands-on training through external placements with professional partners such as hospitals, research centers, and industrial facilities. These opportunities allow students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, develop technical skills, and adapt to workplace environments. Examples of training partners include:
