Capstone projects

 

Here is a good variety of projects, which have been carefully selected to provide you with key knowledge and skills required in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering. 

 

Students may choose one of the following projects:  

 

Geo-MODELLING: This type of projects focus on state-of-the art methods used in geotechnical engineering such numerical modelling. You will have the opportunity to explore many advanced software packages used in civil engineering design work.

 

Geo-MATERIALS: Here you will be able to explore various behavior of geometrical (soil or rock) in action through laboratory testing and field observation. You will also gain an overview of how these geo-martial affect civil engineering structures. 

 

Geo-DESIGN: Here you will be working on a case study (geotechnical design problem) selected from real civil engineering projects constructed in Saudi Arabia or other parts of the world. In this type of study, you will be able to discover the process of geotechnical input in a project i.e. starting from the planning phase and site investigation, upto the design recomendation and specification.
