NUR 597 Nursing Leadership
Critical examination of the role of nursing leadership in light of current healthcare issues. Seminar and practicum in nursing leadership techniques and skills utilized in group education. Emphasis is on group dynamics, process and learning through group discussion.
The general objective of this course is to develop personal mastery in leadership skills such as communication, delegation, time management, negotiation, and visioning. Further, this course enables the graduate students to apply these principles in real work settings and in the nurses’ professional lives, aligned in the KSU CON vision, mission philosophy and objectives.
