يتناول المقرر أحد مشروعات التصميم العمراني في مواقع متغيرة ومواضيع مختلفة، بحيث يتم إكساب الطالب في مرحلة السنوات المشتركة مهارات التصميم العمراني من خلال مشروع يتعلم فيه الطالب كيفية إعداد مشروع تصميم عمراني
The course deals with one of the urban design projects in different locations and subjects. In the common years, the student will acquire the urban design skills through a project in which the student learns how to prepare a design project

يعتبر هذا المقرر مرحلة تمهيدية لمشروع التخرج لطلاب قسم التخطيط العمراني (مسار التصميم العمراني). وهو يهتم بتعريف الطالب على كيفية اختيار وتحديد المشروع، ووضع خطة عمل منهجية وبرنامج زمني أولي لكافة مراحل إعداد المشروع.
كما يهتم المقرر بتعريف الطالب على كيفية جمع المعلومات المتعلقة بموضوع المشروع، وتحديد الأهداف وصياغتها وذلك من خلال دراسة واطلاع الطالب على النظريات والتجارب المشابهة لموضوع الدراسة من جهة، وعلى دراسة وتحليل وتقييم دراسات الوضع الراهن وتشكيل تصور أولي عن عناصر ومتطلبات المشروع.

Luluah Alhusain is an assistant professor in the College of Computer and Information Sciences at King Saud University. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Information Sciences from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her research interests include Data Mining, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, and Pervasive Computing.
