Abdulsalam is an Assistant Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department, College of Engineering, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He achieved with honors in 2013, BSc in Industrial Engineering from King Saud University. In 2015, he completed MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Technolgoy & Management Systems distinction from University of Manchester. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Mechanical (Biomedical) Engineering in 2019. His research included the use of computer to design and analyse medical implants (bone fixations) combined with Additive Manufacturing to improve the quality of the implants by reducing the disadvantage of implant misfit and stress shielding. Abdulsalam has published numerous publications of journal articles, book chapters and conference papers in the area of designing and manufacturing medical implants.
