Dr.Subash Babu Pandurangan CV

Bio
I, Dr. P. SUBASH BABU, completed my Ph.D in Biochemistry. Presently working as an Assistant Professor in Biochemistry, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. Presently I am working on molecular diagnosis of metabolic disorders, specifically on obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disorders. I have been investigating the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in human Mesenchymal Stem Cells to adipocyte differentiation and adipogenesis, as well as other aspects of CVD and tumor development such as proliferation, survival and differentiation. MiRNA profiling particularly nutrient regulation of gene expression and expression of microRNA related to cell death (apoptosis and necrosis).
In addition I am investigating the food born carcinogens in cancer development in in Vitro and In Vivo models. Also I have been investigating the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in cancer as well as other aspects of tumor development. Since, we have completed the current project on screening of miRNA for breast cancer, diabetes and obesity.
