IT 329 Advanced Web Technologies

This course aims to explore and discuss emerging technologies in the web arena. Emphasis is placed on exposure to up-and-coming technologies relating to the web, providing hands-on experience, and discussion of practical implications of such emerging technologies. It also allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of new web technologies, services, frameworks and business models. The course will cover topics such as XML and its technologies, Web services, Rich Internet Applications (RIA), Web application frameworks, and advanced topics such as Mobile Web.
