Principles and Psychology of Visual Perception & Language Development (OPTO 439)
This course provides an overview of key concepts in visual perception and language processing. It covers spatial and temporal aspects of vision, motion and depth perception, visual cortical organization, extrastriate processing, and the development of vision. The course also explores perceptual organization, visual constancies, ecological and computational approaches to vision, visual selective attention, and the role of visual processing in word recognition, language comprehension, language production, lexical processing, and the cognitive neuropsychology of language.
