GE 302 Industry and the Environment
In this undergraduate course, we cover the following topics: Introduction to environmental problems and their anthropogenic causes, with emphasis on the causes, effects, and controls of air, water, and land pollution. The political, ecological, economic, ethical, and engineering aspects of environmental pollution and control. Topics include: water and air pollution, global climate changes, hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials and wastes, and noise pollution. Demonstration of pollution measuring techniques.
