introduction/brief CV

Xenobiotic metabolism plays a critical role in the elimination of foreign compounds in the body. Usually metabolism results in ending the effects of drugs or toxic compounds, but often the same system causes them to become active and toxic. Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes play a critical role in metabolism of xenobiotics.

I would like to study pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics at university, as I am fascinated to learn about and exploring molecular mechanism of diseases and new ways to treat illnesses, and gain a deeper understanding of how different medicines and drugs interact with the body and their effects on human metabolism. In addition, I believe a degree in Pharmacology would allow me to use my scientific knowledge and skills to help greatly improve the lives of others and benefit society by offering new ideas and information throughout the process of developing and testing new medicines and drugs.
