Dr. Mohammed M. Albaqami is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and Microbiology at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a focus on plant molecular biology and stress physiology. His research is dedicated to understanding how plants adapt to environmental challenges such as salinity, drought, high light, and temperature. Dr. Albaqami specializes in investigating RNA splicing factors and their intricate interactions with sulfur species, plant hormones, and neurotransmitters, leveraging advanced techniques like transcriptomics, proteomics, and genetic engineering. His work plays a crucial role in identifying stress-resilient genes, contributing to the development of climate-adapted crops, and addressing global food security challenges.
