Computer Foundation and Ethics ISY 101

The objective of the course is to explain how digital circuit of large complexity can be built in a methodological way, starting from Boolean logic and applying a set of rigorous techniques. The students will apply their knowledge in the labs by building increasingly more complex digital logic circuits. This part will provide a bridge to future courses where alternative designs and their performance trade-offs will be studied in depth. The students will also become familiar with one of the de-facto standard of logical circuit and gain experience in programmable logic devices.
