introduction/brief CV

Mohammad Rezaul Karim is working as a Professor at the Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials (CEREM), College of Engineering, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. He was born in Noakhali, Bangladesh (1975), and received his BSc (1998) and MSc (2001) degrees from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was then selected for the Korean Research Foundation (KRF) scholarship under the Korean Ministry of Higher Education for the PhD program in Physical Chemistry (Specialty in Nanotechnology) from Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea (March 2003–February 2007). Dr. Karim has published over 180 ISI journal papers, reviews in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and books. He also possesses two US, one European, and three Saudi Arabian patents related to polymers and solar cells. He has been awarded the “King Saud University Awards for Scientific Excellence-2015” under the Innovation, Invention, and Licensing category. He has been listed as "the world's top 2% best scientist: 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022” as a research faculty member among the world's scientists. His research interests are nanomaterials, nanocomposites and fibers, carbon nanotubes, conducting polymers, biopolymers, hybrid solar cells, water treatments, toxic metal detection and separation, supercapacitors, batteries, etc.
