introduction/brief CV

Dr. Manar Hosny is an Associate Professor and former Vice Chair of the Computer Science Department at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo, and she obtained her Ph.D. from Cardiff School of Computer Science and Informatics at Cardiff University, UK, in 2010 .Dr. Hosny's primary research area focuses on heuristic and metaheuristic algorithms for solving combinatorial optimization problems, especially focusing on routing and scheduling problems. Additionally, she has expertise in HCI, data mining, social network analysis, and explainable AI. Her extensive teaching experience encompasses various computer science subjects at both the graduate and undergraduate level.  Furthermore, Dr. Hosny has contributed significantly to the field, with over 60 publications in reputable conferences and journals. Her research papers have been recognized and accepted by the academic community, demonstrating the quality and impact of her work. She currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of King Saud University-Computer and Information Sciences.
