BCH 439 Research and seminar

This main objective of the course is to train students for designing and executing a research proposal applying critical thinking and good laboratory practices. The specific objectives are summarized below:

1. To learn how to design a hypothesis driven research study
2. To understand the importance of literature survey and collecting background information
3. To gain familiarity with good laboratory practice while conducing lab work
4. To gain the knowledge of experimental accuracy and precision
5. To learn how to analyze and interpret the obtained data
6. To become proficient in presentation of results using written reports, poster and oral presentation
