Selected Topics in AI "NLP and Deep Learning" (CSC 668) - PhD Course

The main topics include text processing and basic NLP tasks, language models such as N-gram and neural language models, and some deep learning models (RNN, GRU, LSTM, BiLSTM, Transformers). Two selected NLP applications will be surveyed (text summarization and question answering).
