General Enzymology is an undergraduate biochemistry course that introduces the fundamental principles of enzyme structure, function, and kinetics. The course examines mechanisms of enzyme action, factors affecting enzyme activity, inhibition, and regulation, with emphasis on Michaelis–Menten kinetics and catalytic efficiency. Students gain insight into experimental methods used to study enzymes and the central role of enzymes in metabolism, physiology, and biotechnology.
